The crically acclaimed dance theatre „Zugvögel“ performs on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Bavarian State Ballet. Anna Mühlberger, freelancing dancer and dance teacher, leads the younger audience beforehand in special introductions into the complex world of Jiří Kylián’s dance theatre. She spoke with Nina Ritter, providing Matchless a special insight into Kyliáns poetic and ageless universe, whose swings can carry you onto higher spheres.

As everyone floods back into Munich for the start of the new semester/the return to the daily grind, it’s also time to seek out those interesting exhibitions and good gigs (along with hitting the gym and generally fulfilling those dreaded New Year’s resolutions). It seems that musicians are taking an extended Christmas break – unfortunately there aren’t a great many worthwhile concerts this week, but after such fantastic concerts in November and December, we can’t complain. However, in terms of art, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Everybody enjoys comparing Germany and the US when it comes to climate issues. However clear the differences may seem at first glance, the issue is complex and getting more complicated in many fields. There are as well differences as numerous similarities in the approaches, both on the federal level and in the public sector.

 

The conference organized by the US Consulate General in Munich and the Amerika Haus seems to be a good chance to gain a balanced notion of the climatic status quo. On November 17 and 18, American and German experts from various public and private sectors will be giving lectures and taking part in panel discussions about environment, green partnership, climate protection and objectives for the future for both Germany and the US.
