The 1000 Journals initiative is one of those fascinating projects that reveals a tremendous amount about human creativity. One thousand blank journals were distributed around the world, beginning in the summer of 2000, by an artist who called himself Someguy. The idea was to fill them – with anything, anything at all, and pass them on for others to add to. In 2003, Someguy received one completed journal back. What happened to the other 999? Filmmaker Andrea Kreuzhage decided to find out, and her film 1000 Journals tells the remarkable stories of those who have added to a journal.
