Pick of the Week: Bailla Beni

It's summertime! And everybody knows that ice-cream is an essential part of summer. But there is always the highly debated and almost philosophical question: where's the best ice-cream parlor in town? This might just be it.....

Balla Beni has various locations, one in Theresienstraße 46, then they also sell their delicious ice-cream at "Don Lucas" (Leopoldstr. 44) and you can even enjoy it in the Glockenbachviertel (Klenzestraße 97)!

They are famous for their clever combination of flavors, among them lemon-basil, milk-mint, rose, dark chocolate-ginger but also more common flavors such as hazelnut (my favorite!) and chocolate etc.

The only thing that somewhat diminishes the yummy ice-cream experience is the fact that there is ALWAYS a line and it's not an uncommon thing to have to wait 5-10 minutes before you are served (especially in the Theresienstraße). But the wait is really worthwhile!

One scoop is really large and is priced at 1,20€. The best thing for people like me who can never quite decide just what to take: You get your ice-cream in a cup with a spoon and you always get a "sample" of any flavor you like on your spoon! So if you are not sure whether one flavor is for you or not - you can just give them all a shot!

As all locations are downtown, I encourge every ice-cream lover to stop by and give it a try!
