“I really like them and they remind me of a great time. They look nice and keep me warm“, is what Florian, 23, says about the sweatshirts he kept after his last break-up. One of them was a present from his ex and the other one was actually only borrowed. “But most of the other things I don't even notice anymore”. He still has pictures, showing the both of them, on his wall and uses the coffee mug, another birthday present, every day. He seems to only have good memories of the relationship. That may be because they broke up on the telephone. Or because they lived 400 kilometers apart. Or because nobody dumped the other.

Embodiment: A Portrait of Queer Life in America is a multimedia project that started in 2005, when Molly Landreth started her trip through the United States to capture the life of queer Americans through photographs. Amelia Tovey joint the project in 2009 and has since been recording conversations, shootings and encounters for the website. The pictures and video are currently exhibited at the Amerika Haus here in Munich. The exhibit began on 14 January and will end 12 March. (Diamond Dynasty, picture)

The talented young pianist Gwilym Simcock and his trio (Yuri Goloubev (bass) - and James Maddren - Dr) presented their new double album, Blues Vignette, at the jazz club Unterfahrt last Friday (15. January 2010). The 28 year old pianist has already been dubbed a “genius” by Chick Corea and was nominated the best jazz instrumentalist at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2008.

No one’s found the answer yet. I mean, not for me especially, but for anyone. I believe there are millions of people out there that don't fit the sexual orientation norm, but nobody knows why. Not that this would change anything for them or me, because we won't just discover a drug changing us all back to “normal.”
