Grand Opening of the Rachel Carson Center in Munich E-mail
Written by Julia Staudinger

With thousands of barrels of oil still spilling into the Gulf of Mexico since the disastrous explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil platform of BP on April 22, 2010, the Opening Ceremony of the newly founded Rachel Carson Center in Munich gained a lot of attention last Thursday. It's all too easy to pigeon-hole eighteen-year-old female artists who play keyboard and stick them under that umbrella under which we'd also find Kate Nash or La Roux, but that's a little unfair. The Heartbreaks : Interview E-mail
Written by Rachel Preece

The Heartbreaks are a band to take note of. With echoes of the eighties music scene in Manchester (it's impossible to introduce them without slipping in a comparison to Morrissey), and a longing for times gone by, this is one band that 2010 can't ignore. Music journalists left, right and centre are calling them "the next big thing on the music scene". Having just completed a UK tour, we caught up with singer Matt from The Heartbreaks to discuss just how good the British seaside really is.
